The aim of this course is to explore a variety of topics in British and European history in details, without covering whole periods. Britain and the World in the 20th Century
Britain and the World in the 20th Century (AN2102MA01)
MA programme in English Studies

Tu. 14.00-15.40; Room: 111

The aim of this course is to present the 20th-century history of Britain as an integral part of the history of Europe and the world. There will be strong emphasis on the non-European world (North Africa, the Middle East and Latin America), especially as far as the post-1945 era is concerned. In Europe the main focus will be on the first half of the century, mainly the years from 1919 to 1945.
