North American Department - Talent management

We pay special attention to our students who show academic interest from early on. The well-functioning traditional forms of talent management are colleges for advanced studies (e.g. the István Hatvani College for Advanced Studies), the demonstrator system, and the tutoring/consultation for the home and national rounds ot the National Conference for Student Research (OTDK). Works by talented students about various fields and questions of American studies have long enjoyed great success at the events of the National Conference for Student Research and international student conferences.

(Former) students of our department have been applying successfully for such prestigious scholarships as the Fulbright Scholarship, ISEP Scholarship, scholarship of the Indiana University, etc. In addition, several of our former students have successfully completed and earned doctorates at American universities (SUNY, Buffalo; University of Colorado, Texas Christian University).
