The finals of Debate, the debate competition organized by the Institute of English and American Studies of the University of Debrecen and the US Embassy Hungary, were held on 14 December, 2019. Altogether thirty ambitious and brilliant high school students took part in the finals from all over the country. The winners are Underachievers from II. Rákóczi Ferenc Gimnázium, Budapest, with It's Debatable from Kossuth Lajos Gimnázium, Debrecen, and The Indispensables from II. Rákóczi Ferenc Gimnázium, Budapest, coming in second and third, respectively.
Congratulations to all, and many thanks not only to the competitors and their teachers, but also to our sponsors, judges, student helpers, and the organizing team for making this wonderful event happen.
