International Speaking Skills Development Program

The International Speaking Skills Development Program is back! In Spring 2022, 16 first-year students will have the opportunity to participate in our International Speaking Skills Development Program, in which they can discuss a variety of topics regarding professional language use with undergraduate and graduate students from Indiana University Bloomington (IUB) with a special interest in second language acquisition and education. In the course of this program, you will interact with students from IUB on Zoom, who will complete their capstone project requirements for their TESOL certificate by providing carefully planned instruction under supervision. You will be able to improve your intercultural skills, become more confident in speaking English and, most importantly, you will make friends with students from abroad. If this sounds like something you would love to be a part of, please join the program by registering for Dr. Péter Szűcs’s course Vocabulary Building (taught on Wednesdays at 4:00 pm).

For more information about the program, please see the syllabus for Dr. Szűcs's course or contact the program coordinator, Dr. Éva Kardos.
