The finals of the DEbate competition organized by the Institute of English and American Studies in cooperation with the US Embassy will take place on December 14 at Corvinus University, Budapest. Of the many applicants, 24 teams made it to the semi-finals organized at the American Corners of Debrecen, Budapest, and Pécs, and the top 10 teams have made it to the final where they will debate whether the citizens’ economic and social wellbeing is primarily the responsibility of the individual or the government.
