Theory and practice in Brighton | Institute of English and American Studies

Representing our department, Dr. Szabó Fruzsina ran a workshop and delivered a talk at IATEFL (International Association of Teachers of English as a Foreign Language) 2026 in Brighton at the end of April. Her workshop focused on the perceived gaps between pre-service teacher trainees' methodological knowledge and the reality of classroom practicum. Her presentation talk introduced the findings of a pilot intervention programme to enhance mental health awareness in pre-service trainees' teacher training courses.
