  • 1991–1992: Fulbright Visiting Professor at the Department of English, University of Minnesota, Minnesota, U.S.A. for one academic year. The courses taught pertained to American Studies: literatures of American minorities, myth and the American social consciousness, myth-and-literature studies pertinent to American literary expressiveness.
     
  • September, 1993: Visiting Professor at the Department of English, Joensuu University, Joensuu, Finland. An intensive seminar in 20th-century African–American literature.
     
  • 2002–2006: teaching, as Visiting Professor, American Studies courses for over eight semesters at the English Department of Partium Christian University, Oradea, Romania. Courses taught included the history of U.S. literature (19th-century American literature, the literature of American modernism, contemporary U.S. literature), the American short story, African–American literature, American social consciousness, essay writing, overseeing student research.
