Karoline Baumann studied English and German literature at Columbia University in New York and Freie Universität Berlin. She received her PhD in 2013. Her book "The Stage as Palimpsest: Conceptions of Time and Temporality in Shakespeare’s Troilus and Cressida and The Two Noble Kinsmen" was published in 2018 with Ergon. She taught German Literature at the Faculté des Lettres et des Sciences Humaines at the Université de Rabat, Morocco from 2016-18. Since 2019, she has been DAAD lecturer at the University of Debrecen.
