In the first semester of the 2023/24 academic year, the Real-life business was held in English for the 6th time. During the 12 weeks students were introduced to what Business Service Center means, how to build a career in it by covering topics on key competencies.
On the last occasion of the semester an HR Workshop was held for the students. Four HR professionals, on three topics (CV consulting, rapid interview and rapid career conversation), provided useful advice to students making it easier to find their way to their future careers, hopefully in the BSC sector.
Students were given the opportunity to make their CVs as attractive as possible, for which they received useful some advice. They were able to experience what a real interview feels like in person. During the career conversation, constructive tips were given to their specific questions.
On the closing event, students were divided into two groups, personally discussing their questions with professionals from the Sector. It was great to see that most of them plan to pursue a career future in Debrecen, and their English proficiency is at a high level, which is a crucial condition in the BSC sector, if not one of the most important one.
By the end of the workshop, both the students and the participating professionals gained experience that can effectively be incorporated into future courses, effectively using them to bring the specifics of the sector even closer to students. We hope that students found the semester classes as useful and constructive as the lecturers themselves.
