Bianka Szendrei is a second-year PhD student of the Doctoral School of Literary and Cultural Studies at the University of Debrecen. Her main research interest includes Afrofuturist posthuman Blackness through the prism of intersectional feminism and queer theory in contemporary African American artist, Janelle Monáe’s oeuvre. She focuses on Monáe’s unique understanding of the Black queer experience from the perspective of cyborgs, androids, and computers.
