The aim of this course is to help students acquire some basic skills in performing on stage. Each class will focus on specific theatre techniques, such as presence, voice, body gesture, text presentation and movement training for the actor. The fundamentals of acting are explored through exercises, scene study, and text analysis. Students can obtain communication skills and develop presence for leadership, which can be useful for them as teachers or in the business world as well. They will gain insights into theatre pedagogy, which teaches them self-expression that motivates for success, enhances collaboration, and heightens confidence in oneself and others.
