Péter Csató has been working in the North American Department of the Institute of English and American Studies since 2000. His academic interests include post-structuralist literary theory/criticism, theories of interpretation, American (New) Pragmatism, the philosophy of science, and contemporary American prose fiction. Within these broader fields, he teaches courses on the interpretive aspect of cultural practices, filmic representations of philosophical themes, epistemology and ethics in science fiction film, and the language of advertising.
