Imola Bülgözdi completed her doctoral degree in 2010 in the Modern English and American Doctoral Programme of Eötvös Loránd University, Budapest. Her main area of research is the representation of Southern Culture in the work of women writers and contextual literary criticism, which has also branched off into the comparative study of novels and their film adaptations. Her work is characterized by a focus on Cultural Studies and identity, which encompasses the analysis of popular culture as well. Her main interest in this field is fantasy, science fiction and video games through the lens of posthumanism.
