The students of Faculty of Business and Economics, majoring in Tourism and Catering Management, were the first “swallows” from the University of Debrecen to take part in a short-term group study trip of the Pannonia Scholarship Program (Pannónia Ösztöndíjprogram) in the framework of their course on international tourism relations. During their three-day trip, these students visited Vienna’s City Hall, Europa Experience (the European Parliament's education and experience center in Vienna), and the interactive museum called House of Music.

The research group Hungary in Medieval Europe of the Institute of History of the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Debrecen has recently hosted an international historians' conference titled “Political, cultural, religious, and economic transformations in the 15th and 16th centuries.” There were two honorary doctors of the institute giving talks at the conference.
